Come down to our terrace and enjoy a nice bottle of wine or a few cocktails with our new ever-changing seasonal tapas menu. Menu will be featuring fried Canadian Smelts, organic Rideau Pines Asparagus wrapped in gravlax or house cured chorizo "Pogo's" with a beaus beer and mustard dip-just to mention a few. Kicking off Friday May 22, 2009.

The Urban Pear opened it’s doors in Ottawa’s trendy Glebe neighborhood in the spring of 2002.
The restaurant features a menu that evolves from day to day using the finest quality local ingredients the chefs can source. During the summer months, a team of dedicated organic farmers supply The Urban Pear with all of its vegetables. All the meats & fish purchased by the chefs come from Canadian farms & waters. In keeping with its local theme The Urban Pear’s wine list features a very strong Canadian wine content as well as select international varieties. |
The restaurant seats up to forty people inside and has a seasonal terrace seating an additional twenty people. A small parking lot adjacent to the restaurant provides parking for patrons. The Urban Pear is completely wheel chair accessible.
Our menu changes daily so there is always something new, exciting and fresh to choose from. We purchase our produce and meats from local farmers and when we can not buy them locally, we buy Canadian.
Our wine list features a strong Canadian content as well as select international varieties. Similar to our menu the wine list is ever evolving as new vintages are released and discovered. |
